Biography of Author i Cavalcanti

i Cavalcanti is a person who enjoys the simple things in life. Cavalcanti likes to spend his free time with family and friends (his daughter is shown in the picture at the right). Cavalcanti loves hiking, cycling, reading, and looking at the night sky to admire the stars. i Cavalcanti says, "Whenever I'm close to nature, I feel myself really at home."

Professionally, i Cavalcanti graduated in computer science, and he has been working the last 23 years as a systems analyst, projecting and developing IT solutions. He has worked on projects in different business areas such as trade, finance, building, military, insurance, telecom, energy, off-shore, and oil. Technically, Cavalcanti is experienced in Database Modeling, Online Transaction Processing (OLTP), Online Analytical Processing (OLAP), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Business Intelligence (BI), and Data Mining, among others.

Personally, since very early in life, Cavalcanti started to realize that the curiosity in observing and understanding the universe was something that really made his eyes shine. That quest threw Cavalcanti on a journey of knowledge that led him to immerse himself in reading about different expressions of human's behavior and knowledge, such as arts, religions, spiritualism, esoteric, philosophy, theosophy, archeology, physics, chemistry, biology, anatomy, astronomy, and technology. This journey is something that turned into his life's goal--something that has no end and is something that he can carry with him throughout his life. i Cavalcanti explained, "Now, I'm starting on a new challenge of sharing with everyone, through writing, some of my own visions. I present these in the form of fiction with the goal of creating a link between all these themes, aiming to enable the readers to acquire a more natural concept about humanity, life, earth, and universe, and how all these things relate to each other. I strongly believe that through knowledge sharing we can create a society that is mentally and ecologically sustainable."
