Biography of Author Aurora Leighton-Holmes
Author Aurora Leighton-Holmes grew up in Fairfield County, Connecticut and moved to California in 1988 with her family. Leighton-Holmes has traveled extensively throughout the United States and parts of Western Europe. Currently, Aurora divides her time between homes in California and Arizona. A love of art, photography, gardening, nature, the ocean, horses, and her Native American art collection fire Leighton-Holmes' enthusiasm and passionate love of life.
Aurora Leighton-Holmes owns Sacred Earth Native Arts, a Native American on-line art gallery, and has maintained an interest in Earth and nature-based philosophies and holistic healing modalities throughout her lifetime. Some years ago, Leighton-Holmes studied with Peter Wolf of Wolfskills.com. Through his teachings, Aurora learned to live in harmony with the Earth, while awakening and developing her intuitive abilities, which will be the subject of a forth-coming book. Most recently she completed the Personal and Spiritual Awakening Series with Phasis Healing Arts, a two-year course with internationally known healer and intuitive, Richard Maldonado. At present, Leighton-Holmes continues to train with Maldonado and is enrolled in the Caritas Healing program, a six-year commitment.
The poetry in Leighton-Holmes' first book, PARADOX, Poems from Life, spans five decades and the experiences that changed and shaped her life. Aurora believes that emotions are what they are and should be expressed, which is clearly demonstrated in her poetry.
